Actress Sushmita Sen and Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram today rubbished reports suggesting they are planning to get married and asked the media to respect their privacy.sush-wasim
Previously, some reports claimed that the pair is planning to get married after seeing each other for a couple of years.
But the 37-year-old actress took to micro-blogging site Twitter to clarify the news, saying it is just a good friend of 46-year-old Akram.
"Wasim Akram is a friend and will always be one! Have a wonderful woman in your life ... Rumors like these are out of place and a lack of respect," said Sushmita.
Akram also denied the rumors saying he wants to focus on their children and do not intend to marry soon.
"I'm sick of the rumors and speculation made in the media. Decided to take a year off of the Indian Premier League because he wanted to give time to my two children who are growing and need their father around them.
"Right now my entire focus is on spending quality time with them. No plan to marry in my life"
Wasim widower, whose wife Huma died in October 2009 told PTI.
"I want to dedicate my life to my children. Believe that the media and people not only to respect my privacy, but also that of a lady Sushmita is very elegant and decent and good human being," he said.
Akram Sushmita and met on the sets of Indian television shows # # Q # # Aik Aik Haseena Khiladi # # # # Q in 2008.
The former Miss Universe, who is a single mother of two adopted daughters Renee and Alisah, also said it will release when she marries.
