Priyanka Chopra turns spiritual diva of soda


Bollywood's 'desi girl' Priyanka Chopra has donned the look of a spiritual diva in a new advertisement for a sparkling beverage brand.

The 30-year-old has proudly over-the-top make-up and she has a big tikka (vermillion mark) on her forehead. In a yellow Manish Malhotra sari has Priyanka worn bangles and heavy jewelery for the Indian Premier League (IPL) special advertisement for Pepsi.

Priyanka is happy with her appearance in the ad.

"I've played a lot of different characters in my films, but I have not played a spiritual diva yet, we had a lot of fun putting together this look. It is extravagant, but goes perfectly with the idea," she said in a statement.

Excited about the ad film, she added: "It's cheeky, it's brash and it captures the crazy kind of fan support for different teams."

The last Pepsi IPL ad as Priyanka's "Barfi!" Co-star Ranbir Kapoor in the character of a middle class working man.

The ad, Piggy Chops, as she is affectionately known, will go on air on April 18
