Deepika said that she is looking forward to work with Ranbir again and would wait for the offer. “I would love to be a part of the film but I haven’t heard from them. I dont know what is happening,” the actress said. “I can’t pick up the phone and call them. I would rather want them to believe that I’m fit for the part and pick up the phone and tell me themselves.”
But where does this leave Ranbir‘s rumoured current girlfriend Katrina Kaif ? Reports suggest that Deepika is not the only one waiting by the phone. Katrina, we hear, is also keen on bagging the role opposite Ranbir.
As for Ranbir, he’s making no visible effort to recreate his Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahaani with Katrina on-screen. However, that may be no skin off Kat’s nose. Since their last outing in 2010′s Raajneeti, Katrina has been spoilt for choice with a string of films opposite high-profile heroes – Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and, coming up, Aamir Khan.
Nor is Ranbir the only fish Deepika has to fry. She has a major movie opposite a megawatt star out soon, Chennai Express with Shah Rukh Khan.
So if that role opposite Ranbir really does cause a Kat-fight, it’s safe to say it won’t be because the two actresses are in any way starved for good work.
