The Mumbai Sessions Court today directed Salman Khan to pay Rs 19 lakh to victims of his hit-and-run-case. The court’s ruling was earlier going to be deferred as the judge had reportedly been transferred. The latest update on Twitter was, Salman will be tried for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
The actor had earlier appealed for a retrial after the Magistrate Court charged him with the same. The court had rejected his plea at the last hearing on June 24. Salman’s lawyers had also reportedly filed an application in the court requesting for self-restraint in the media.
Salman’s hearing in this case has been postponed several times, and the next is slated to be on August 19.
