English Vinglish which starred Sridevi in the lead was highly appreciated in India and some international destinations when it released in 2012. And since then there has been no stopping this film nationally and internationally too. After releasing in Hong Kong and European countries like Germany, English Vinglish is now set to release in Japan, Taiwan and South Korea. Gauri Shinde, who has already won many accolades, is proud that her directorial film is being accepted widely.
“Every time I think, ‘Okay, it’s done now’, more surprises spring up.’English Vinglish‘ has gone out of my hands. The baby has grown up and is travelling globally charting its own course. I am glad to see it acquire a life of its own. I feel like a very proud parent indeed” said the talented filmmaker in her recent interview.
