Rs 14.2 crores from paid previews For "Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara"'

Despite being almost unanimously panned by critics, the Milan Luthria-directed gangster flick Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara has managed to rake in impressive moolah at the box office through its paid previews on Thursday. Having released in
approximately 1600 screens across India, Balaji Motion Pictures’ presentation took a flying start on the day of the bank holiday (Independence Day) previews.
Despite a delayed release in Rajasthan on account of protests, the collections netted a record-breaking Rs. 14.2 crores for previews. Theatres showed strong occupancy levels of 80-90 percent with Housefull status in several centres.
On Friday, the film opened up in roughly 2500 screens (including single screens), with sustained word-of-mouth and great response in the morning and afternoon shows. Going by these trends and with no other major release as competition, OUATIMD is poised to continue its winning streak. Watch this space for weekend box office figures!
