Salman Files Petition Against Contempt of Court Case In Hit And Run Case

Last month, social activist Hemant Patil had filed a complaint in a Magistrate Court seeking action against Salman Khan alleging that sharing any information on his website – www.salmankhanfiles.com related to his impending case is contempt of court. Sallu pleaded in his petition that he had created a website only to ensure that there was no incorrect reporting by the media and said that no contempt had been committed by him.
Considering several inaccurate media reports pertaining to Sallu’s brush with the law, the superstar had started a website to provide facts related to all the cases he’s involved in. After the Mumbai Sessions Court rejected Sallu’s plea for retrial and booked him for culpable homicide, the superstar was worried about media reports which were apparently damaging his image. After this, he decided to launch the website.
“When his hit-and-run case is underway and matter is subjudice, how can he use internet to spread information about the proceedings?” Hemant asked in his complaint filed then, according to his lawyer Wajid Khan. Patil claimed that the Bandra police station refused to register a complaint against the Mental actor and hence he decided to move the Magistrate Court next hearing will take place on September 5.
