Akshay Khanna was duped after being promised quick and handsome returns from investments in the commodity market
Akshaye Khanna has filed a police complaint against a couple, who allegedly duped him of Rs 50 lakh. The 38-year-old has stated that he was promised to get double on his investment sum in just 45 days. The crime branch of Mumbai police is investigating the complaint filed by him, a police official confirmed Sunday. The complaint has been lodged at the Malabar Hill police station against the couple who are from Andheri.“Yes, a complaint was registered at our police station Friday evening by Akshaye Khanna’s lawyer. The current status is that the crime branch is investigating the case. Once we get any update, we can speak on that,” senior inspector Vinay Bagade told IANS.
According to reports, Akshaye has named in his complaint Satyabrata Chakravarty and his wife Sona, president and director, respectively, of Intech Images Private Ltd, who allegedly duped him of Rs.50 lakh, after promising him that they would double it in 45 days after investing it in the commodity market.
