The Besharam actor shared screen space with his parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh – but Ranbir Kapoor didn’t like the world seeing his mother onscreen
“Frankly, I don’t like the fact that the world is getting to see my mother (Neetu Kapoor) onscreen. She’s mine. She’s soft-spoken in real life but in the film, she played a cunning, over-the-top cop Bulbul Pandey. My dad (Rishi Kapoor) has always been critical about my work. His father (Raj Kapoor) and grandfather (Prithviraj Kapoor) were similar in their attitude towards him.”
