Rumour has it that in a scene featuring Naseeruddin Shah and Pankaj Kapur, Deepika asked Homi Adajania to alter the script to her liking. It is heard that in that specific scene the part of the senior actors was more and Deepika’s was less. She made the writer-director rewrite the scene so as to bring her character to the fore. However, no one seems to be complaining as she seems to have the Midas touch.
Deepika Padukone has been doing great for the past year and half and has been simply impeccable. Be it her choice of films or her fashion statement or her quotes in public, everything seems to perfect. But it seems she has finally decided to leave off the good girl attitude and open up her wings. It’s true that Deepika deserves every bit of the success, but that surely doesn’t allow her the liberty to dictate terms on the sets of a film. Also, she shouldn’t be messing with the director’s vision in the script, something that she did for Finding Fanny.
Now we will have to wait and watch Finding Fanny to see whether DP’s decision was in the movie’s benefit or was it just promoting herself.
