Deeksha Seth and Armaan Jain are making it to the news due to the ongoing promotional activities of their upcoming film Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. The pretty lady might be a newbie in B-town but she’s quite a known name down South. She has several Telugu films to her name and one Tamil film too. There are many interesting things about Deeksha that you might not have heard before. So here’s everything that you want to know about Deeksha Seth.
Early life: Deeksha was born on 14 February, 1990 in Delhi. As her father used to get transferred often, she has lived in various parts of India which includes Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. She has stayed in Kathmandu (Nepal) too. Before becoming an actor, Deeksha aspired to become an underwater archaeologist.
Modelling days: Before entering Tollywood or Bollywood, Deeksha was into modelling. She was a finalist in Femina Miss India in 2009. She entered the beauty pageant by creating a portfolio with help from her father’s friend. She had no prior modelling experience! Apart from being one of the ten finalists, she won the Fresh Face title.
Break in Tollywood: Deeksha made her acting debut with Telugu drama film Vedam, which starred Allu Arjun, Manoj Kumar Manchu, Anushka Shetty among others.
Tollywood career: Deeksha Seth has acted in six Telugu films till date, which include Vedam, Mirapakaay, Wanted, Nippu, Uu Kodathara? Ulikki Padathara? and Rebel.
Break in Kollywood: Deeksha made her Tamil film debut Rajapattai in 2011 opposite Vikram. The film wasn’t very successful and mostly received negative responses. She has one more Tamil film in the pipeline, titled Vettai Mannan.
Break in Bollywood: The Southern hottie made her Bollywood debut opposite Armaan Jain with the film Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. About her Bollywood film, she’s said, “I am not a planner. It was just that when my Telugu film was going to release, the audition for Lekar Hum…. happened and I got through. I liked the script and decided to go for it. It was not that I was desperately looking for a B-Town entry. With Hindi being my mother tongue, I could have started there only, which I didn’t do. I feel that if something has to happen, it will happen.”
Deeksha’s Bollywood debut Lekar Hum Deewana Dil hit the theatres this Friday. We wish the actor good luck for the film and hope that she bags more films in Bollywood. We’ll keep you updated about her life! Stay tuned!
