Alia regards Karan Johar as her most valued mentor and before starting work on Shandaar Alia didn’t forget to seek KJo’s blessings! We even heard rumours about KJo being offered to play the role of Alia’s father in the film but the filmmaker turned down the offer and Pankaj Kapur was finalized for the role.
