Anjana Sukhani is an actress and model who has appeared in many films
and TV commercials. She was born on 10th December 1978 in Jaipur to a
Sindhi family. She went to Kamla High School in Khar, Mumbai. She
completed her management degree in International Business from Cardiff
Metropolitan University.
In spite of being academically inclined, Anjana decided to pursue acting as a career and leave behind studies. In the early stages of her career, she appeared with Amitabh Bachchan in the TV commercials of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolates. She was also seen in the music video of the song ‘Ghar Jayegi’.
In 2002, she debuted in films with ‘Na Tum
Jaano Na Hum’. She was seen in other films like ‘Hum Dum’, ‘Sun Zara’
and ‘Jaana: Let’s Fall in Love’ in Hindi language, and in ‘Naa Oopiri’
in Telugu language. Her next major film was ‘Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute To
Love’, where she played the role of Anjali, opposite Anil Kapoor.
After this, she was cast opposite Tusshar Kapoor in the multi-starrer
film Golmaal Returns. The film was a huge hit. Anjana Sukhani’s other
releases include ‘Sunday’, ‘De Taali’, ‘Jai Veeru’, ‘Jashn’, ‘Tum Milo
To Sahi’ and ‘Allah Ke Banday’.
Among films in South Indian
languages, Anjana made her debut in Kannada film ‘Maleyali Jotheyali’
along with Yuvika Chaudhary and Ganesh. Telugu film maker Ravi Teja cast
her in his film ‘Don Seetu’ in 2010. She will also be seen working in
the Hindi remake of the same film in this year.
