Salman Khan will not be Mental this Eid, Arbaaz says do not worry




Salman Khan will next be seen in Mental. Actor Salman Khan, who has been locking Eid for the past four years to release his film will not have any outing this year. The superstar younger brother Arbaaz says there are plenty of interesting dates to choose from, and no need to make an urgent task for the mental.

Since 2009, every year Salman a release on Eid. It started with Wanted, followed by Dabangg in 2010, Bodyguard in 2011 and 2012 spy thriller Ek Tha Tiger. Interestingly, all of them turned out to be box office blockbusters.

This year Eid is the 8th August and Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are set to lock horns at the box office since their film Chennai Express and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again respectively being prepared for festival release.

"I assume that they (fans) would have liked to release Mental on Eid. This is not because they have not thought about it, but it's convenient to get on Eid may have been a problem. For his (Salman's) movies to come on Eid, he should have started already in January. But they started sometime in March. so it was difficult, "Arbaaz told IANS.

Arbaaz, who turned to direction with Dabangg 2, which starred his brother Salman, says it is not advisable to make a film rapidly.

"There is no reason to do a rush job on any movie. Stakes are too high, expectations are too high. So no need to get fixed because a Salman Khan starrer is a Salman Khan starrer. Could miss a day in a year, but there are at least four or five dates that are just as exciting. so you can pick and choose those dates and make it an event, "added the 45-year-old.

Salman is currently shooting for mental and action-drama being directed by his younger brother Sohail.
