Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan will make his performance as opening act for the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) on Saturday despite suffering a shoulder injury.
"I've been recording for 14 days straight and on top of that I got injured," Khan told The Times of India
" I like the awards and appreciation, "Khan told Apunka Choice. "I feel that most of the prizes we have in India are for the years of work we have done, and not by the fact of being a show. And above all that, it's nice to see the film community together ".
Khan's popularity as an artist and actor also has made him one of the richest men in Bollywood, Forbes India.
In January, Khan was crowned by Forbes India as the most overpaid celebrity in Bollywood, winning $ 37-million CAD between October 2011 and September 2012. With wealth, beauty and the title of "King Khan" and "Brad Pitt of Bollywood," Khan taking humility.
"I've never done it for money. Rather, I am losing money but I live the business purpose is to bring happiness, "Khan told Forbes India.
The unsold tickets for the gala on Saturday at BC Place, as TOIFA spokeswoman Laura Ballance. Organizers expect between 20,000 to 30,000 people to attend the event.
