Priyanka Chopra – who is known for her outgoing nature and confidence
– was overwhelmed on a recent visit to a Delhi school when she learnt
that the students of Class 5 have an entire chapter on her life in their
text book.
Thanks to her army background, Chopra – who was the chief guest at
Springdales School Dhaula Kuan’s choir festival – spent her childhood in
many places and her saga of frequently moving base, extensive exposure
is now part of the Environmental Studies book.
According to a leading daily, the chapter based on the former Miss World – which is the first chapter in the book – is titled ‘Roving Families, Shifting Homes’.
The chapter on the 30-year-old Bollywood A-lister also has pictures of her family and the moment when she was crowned Miss World in the year 2000.
“This is the first time an actress has been honoured in such a manner,” a source close to Rpiyanks said.
Dr Jyoti Bose, the principal of Springdales School Dhaula Kuan said “We chose the book on the basis of overall content and didn’t even know that Priyanka was featured in the chapter. As a sheer coincidence, we chanced upon the chapter a day before her visit and decided to surprise her with it. She was overwhelmed.”
