CID actor Dayanand Shetty to lend helping hand in Uttarakhand

Members of TV crime show CID actor Dayanand Shetty and director BP Singh Uttarakhand stop on Tuesday to assist victims of the devastating floods in the hill state, said a source.

Thousands of people are said to be either stranded or missing after unprecedented rains and cloudburst led to landslides and floods, killing hundreds of people in the state.

CID is the longest running crime show on Indian television. Running successfully for 16 years, with actors like Shivaji Satam and Aditya Srivastava. The show airs on Sony Entertainment Television.
