Ticket to success? ..?

Could the sudden rise in ticket prices have something to do with the impressive daily collections 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'?

Even before the arrival of the weekend, the industry is already speculating on the box-office the first day of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. According to the trade, the proceeds from Friday placed in a Rs 19.45 crore, the most important day a collection for any movie Ranbir Kapoor.
Nevertheless, one wonders if the high turnover has something to do with the ticket prices through the multiplexes in big cities across the country.
According to trade figures, the film  Ranbir - Deepika Padukone  would have been released in 3100 screens in India. And most of the multiplexes and some single screen theaters seem to have increased their rates bill by a relatively large margin.
The distributor Suniel Wadhwa said: "The ticket prices have increased by an average of 10-20 percent compared to regular prices. Of course, depends on the location and properties across the country, except that the government controls the prices of inputs - in states like Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh ".
A trade source on condition of anonymity also said that the largest number assigned to the evening shows film also contributed to the economy in the lockers.
The source explained: "People visit the theater more often during the night. There is a sharp increase in the prices of the afternoon and evening shows at theaters compared to the price of the morning and afternoon shows. YJHD also seems to have gained in the fact that it has been the only Hindi release this week ".
An exhibitor, on condition of anonymity, said there has also been an increase in the number of tickets sold for the film. "People seem to be genuinely interested in seeing the film. Even if ticket prices would not have increased, the difference in revenues would have been lower by a mere 20 percent.
