Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag starring Farhan Akhtar has surpassed the expectations of all trade pundits and will soon make an entry in the Rs 100 crore club.Despite being a three-hour-long biopic, without any item number and mirch-masala, BMB has got the cash registers ringing at the box office even in its third week. The movie has already crossed the Rs 100-crore-mark worldwide. With various states declaring it tax-free, the film has collected Rs 92 crore till now and is expected to soon hit Rs100 crore mark.
There have been quite a few releases in the past few weeks but Farhan’s impeccable act as the ‘Flying’ Sikh has helped the movie grab a good holding at the box office. Last year, it was Ranbir Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra starrer Barfi which became the first content driven and performance oriented film to enter the Rs 100 crore club. And this year it’s going to be Bhaag Milkha Bhaag!
Well, we won’t be surprised if BMB beats Barfi’s Rs 106 crore figure in the domestic market soon.
