Chennai Express star will now throw a grand iftar party at his Dubai home

This year is turning out to be very special for Shahrukh Khan and we aren’t surprised that the actor is in a mood to celebrate. First, his son AbRam, who was born prematurely, came home to Mannat from the hospital. And then, SRK recently ended his rivalry with Salman Khan by sharing a warm hug with him at Baba Siddiqui’s iftar party. Also, there is his film Chennai Express, which has already created a lot of buzz and is set to release this Eid. So there is every reason for the King Khan to throw a lavish iftar party to thank the powers that be for making it all happen for him. And there’s more! Shahrukh has apparently invited friend-turned-foe-turned-friend again Salman to his party as well. Now that surely got us jumping out of our seats wanting to know details.
While it all made sense to us, the only thing we failed to understand is why Shahrukh suddenly changed the venue of his iftar party to Dubai. His Bandra residence would have been the ideal location, as most of his friends stay in the city, no? Yet the actor has decided to host his bash in Dubai. It could be, of course, to keep new baby AbRam out of reach of the prying paparazzi, which would be a good thing, wethinks. But while reports suggest that the actor shifted the venue ‘coz he is scouting locations in Dubai for his new film Happy New Year directed by Farah Khan, we aren’t convinced if that’s actually the case. Though SRK and Salman have buried the hatched, they still have a long way to go before their dostana blossoms. And while the Chennai Express actor has invited Sallu to his iftar party, by changing the venue to Dubai, wethinks he has played it safe – now if the bhai of Bollywood doesn’t turn up, SRK can always dodge the question simply with the same old gisa-pita-bahana – Sallu was busy with his work back in Bharat, no!
This way the whole kiss-and-make-up scene between SRK and Sallu would also stay fresh in people’s minds for a while, with no reality interrupting it. After all, the same excuse wouldn’t have been convincing if the party was held in Mumbai, don’t you think?
