Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s next project After 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'

The ace director’s next project is a mythological thriller Raja Aur Krishna Ki Bansuri
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is one director who doesn’t shy away from experimenting with different film genres. Unlike other directors, Rakeysh Mehra has directed only four films so far – Aks, Rang De Basanti, Delhi-6 and his recently released Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (BMB) and all of them have been not-so-typical Hindi films. We hear the BMB director is now gearing up for a mythical thriller centered on a hunt for Krishna’s flute, titled Raja Aur Krishna Ki Bansuri.

Talking about the film, Rakeysh said, “Yes, I am working on the film. It will be made simultaneously in English and Hindi. The Hindi version will be called Raja Aur Krishna Ki Bansuri. The film will be set in the 1920s’ India under the British Raj. It is going to be an action romance-drama affair, and in that order.”

Well, the maverick director has one more film in his hand – Mirza Sahiban which is going to be a period love story. While we reported earlier that Rakeysh Mehra will be working on his romantic flick next, the film is still in the scripting stage. So the question is – Which film will go on floors first? “There are a lot of variables to consider when you make a film. I am equally excited about both the films. I will start working on whichever shapes up well first,” said the director.
