The film, based on the life of the flying Sikh, Milkha Singh, will hit the theatres this Friday
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra‘s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag – the story of a Sikh boy who went down in India’s sports history as a champion athlete – is set to release this Friday, July 12, 2013. The buzz about this biopic is positive and industry insiders who saw the film at a special screening held on Monday had some great things to say about it. Amitabh Bachchan wrote on a social networking site, “I and am too emotionally and creatively moved to say anything at all … just a most extraordinary experience …”
“The only race you can’t win is the race against your past. What a lovely experience is Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Thanks Rakyesh and you inspire me, my Flying Farhan,” Shahrukh Khan tweeted after the screening.
Farhan Akhtar, who plays the role of Milkha Singh, has worked really hard to get into the skin of the character. And while we are sure he must done a commendable job, we would also like to see if the movie turns out to be an entertaining one.
