No matter however big an opportunity comes her way, for Hina Khan, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will always be her first choice and love.
“There have been so many opportunities where I felt there won’t be anything bigger than this and I thought let me just quit Yeh Rishta… and start doing that. But whenever I have a choice, Yeh Rishta… will always be my first love; nothing compares to it atleast for me,” Hina said during the celebration of the show’s achievement.
The show won the golden honour for completing 1,000 episodes at the recently held 2013 Boroplus Gold Awards. Hina is ecstatic at the show’s achievements and the number of awards it has won as a whole till now. “Twelve hundred episodes is a long journey and we also cut a cake. Actually, we have cut several cakes till now for the show and also, the number of awards that all of us together have won for the daily soap – it is more than 60. That is a huge achievement,” she said.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai premiered on January 12, 2009 on Star Plus with Hina as the female protagonist Akshara. The show is aired Monday to Saturday.
