The Indian film fraternity took to social networking platforms with full force to vent their anger against the recent gang-rape in Mumbai, but Karan Johar says sometimes the words that we write feel empty
“I felt so silly even reacting, writing ‘I am disgusted’, ‘I am appalled’ because I feel it’s so helpless. These are just words, they are empty,” Karan said.
“But what really can we do but react? I think sometimes the words that we write feel empty. Like what I tweeted, it was an organic reaction, but I felt so silly writing those words because they really meant nothing,” he added.
KJo stated such incidents are an epidemic and needed to be stopped.
“It’s an epidemic and it’s not an epidemic you want to spread, you need to stop it. If someone gave me a solution, I would be standing in the front row trying to solve it,” the 41-year-old filmmaker said.
