A little birdie tells us that Salman Khan’s hit-and-run case has been transferred to the court of sessions judge D W Deshpande. On Monday, the court adjourned the hearing to September 5.
The case dates back to 2002. On September 28, 2002, a Land Cruiser allegedly driven by Salman ran over a group of pavement dwellers in Bandra. Sallu is charged with the offence of culpable homicide for causing the death of one person and injuring four others by rash and negligent driving. If proven guilty, Salman can be sentenced to a jail term of up to ten years!
Sallu didn’t appear in the court on Monday as he has been granted exemption from personal appearances for two months due to his plea that he had to go abroad for film shooting. Hmmm… Looks like Sallu is being prepared and wrapping up all his shooting commitments, just in case fate isn’t too kind to him! So, Salman fans, cross your fingers till September 5!
