The Hollywood director tells why he roped in the Indian actor Priyanka

Klay Hall is quite excited with the response his recently released animated movie for Walt Disney has received. Titled Planes, this movie is a 3D computer-animated adventure sports comedy film. It’s a spin-off of Pixar’s Cars farnchise. Interestingly there’s a fun character in the movie called Ishani for whom our very own Priyanka Chopra has lent her voice. “For India, I wanted somebody who could represent an exotic, Pan-Asian feel. I looked at several Bollywood and all different types of Asian films,” said Klay Hall about getting Priyanka on board.
But how did the enthusiastic director zero in on Priyanka, we wonder. “I saw this girl in Dostana and she could sing, she could dance and man she could act. Although she is just drop dead beautiful to look at, she really has chops and I mean that in a sincere way. We talked on the phone and there is a depth to the tone of her voice, where she is so sweet and genuine when you speak to her. I found her to be really impressive,” adds Klay.
After being a singing sensation, Priyanka has now become a voice artist. Isn’t PeeCee flying high just like those funky machines from the movie Planes?
