Bollywood celebrities celebrate Ganeshotsav with great pomp and show

Salman Khan is one of the many B-town celebs who welcomes Ganesha home every year.Sallu has confessed that it was his little sister Arpita Khan on whose insistence the Khankhandaan first bought the idol home. While this is one of the few occasions which brings the Dabangg family together every year, it’s one of the starriest Ganpati celebrations in town with most biggies from the film fraternity paying a visit to Salman’s Bandra apartment during these one and a half day celebrations. Trust us it’s a delight to see this family during this festival. Over the years, Salman Khan has gone an extra mile to make their Ganpati celebrations eco-friendly – the actor doesn’t endorse crackers or loud and noisy visarjan, thus making it enjoyable for his family as well as the neighbourhood. This year we hear Ganesha celebrations will be at the family’s Panvel farmhouse. Will Bandra residents miss the most wanted Khan on this special day? We definitely will.

Shahrukh Khan is a secular actor just like Salman. Mannat celebrates with Ganeshotsav with as must grandeur as Eid. We’re sure you caught it in his documentary Living with the Superstar, but our cameras have caught SRK and his family at Bandra during the Ganpati festival. It’s a quite family affair and the proud father takes his children along for the immersion of the idol. This year the Chennai Express star will be in Dubai, shooting for Happy New Year we’re sure his family will miss him as much as Shahrukh will miss being home.
Neil Nitin Mukesh was a little baby when he first asked papa Nitin Mukesh to bring baby Ganesha home and today the Mukesh household has one of the most beautiful and enormous Ganesha idols at their residence. While Neil is busy with his shoot schedule, it’s his mommy dearest who personally designs the decorative items for the elephant god who lives with this family for all 11 days. The bhajans in this singers’ family can transport you to another world, and the mouth-watering delicacies served at Neil’s home explains us why this young actor can’t stay away from home during the festival. What’s most adorable about their celebration is that the family has special silver toys for Ganpati, sweet na? We’re sure even Ganesha must be eager to come home for celebrations considering how much the family takes care of his well-being.
Jeetendra aka the Jumping Jack wasn’t a star when he was a part of the Ganpati celebrations at Girgaum few decades back, but after all these years, the locals of Mumbai’s town area wait for his Jeetendra’s visit every year. Clearly Jeetu hasn’t forgotten his roots, even today before bringing in the celebrations at his posh Juhu residence along with producer daughter Ekta Kapoor, the veteran star makes sure that he first visits his old home at Girgaum and participates with the locals there, meets and greets with his old friends. He is definitely one of the most loved and respected stars in this society apart from Ganesha of course.
Hrithik Roshan might find it difficult to step out of his Juhu residence on a normal day, but duringGaneshotsav, Hrithik Roshan and his family mingles with the crowds in Juhu. The Krrish 3 star has no qualms being clicked and the ardent spiritual person that he is, we aren’t surprised that the actor is a believer in Vigneshwar. This family definitely makes for the perfect click on this occasion specially. Now we are sure that Hrithik’s household must have one sound track one loop, Deva shree Ganesha from his film Angeepath, we have it on our playlist too!
The other Juhu celebs who welcome the Astavinayak home are Govinda, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Vivek Oberoi and it’s just these actors who welcome Ganpati home stars like Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor Khan and many more visit various Ganesha pandals across the city during this festival. Now we’re sureGaneshotsav 2013 will be not less starry than the previous years.
