Buzz is that Huma has been approached to play the lead role in biopic on the yesteryear tragedy queen
As reported earlier, director Karan Razdan has been planning to make a biopic on the legendary actor Meena Kumari for quite some time. If recent rumours are anything to go by, Huma Qureshi who was last seen in Ekta Kapoor’s Ek Thi Daayan opposite Emraan Hashmi has been approached by Karan to play the lead role in the biopic.
Meena Kumari earned the title of a ‘tragedy queen’ after her roles in films like Daeraand Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam. The actor left for a heavenly abode in 1972 after suffering from liver cirrhosis.
Now we wonder, if Huma is fit to play the role of the yesteryear classical tragedy queen given her bad style statements and her gargantuan body.
