Sanjay Dutt out of jail – will Munnabhai celebrate Gandhi Jayanti

The convicted actor who was granted 14 days parole reached home today after four months away

Call it coincidence or a happy idea, but the fact is that the Yerawada jail authorities have granted prisoner Sanjay Dutt two weeks parole on medical grounds, starting today, just a day before Gandhi Jayanti. We wonder if he’ll be allowed to celebrate the freedom fighter’s birthday in public tomorrow. And will he himself want to do so?
Addressing the media after reaching Mumbai, the doting father and husband said, “I want to spend some time with my family. I want to thank my fans for all their support. I am a law abiding citizen. I respect the law and courts of India. I will complete my parole and will report back to jail.” Sanju baba was obviously thrilled to be home, even if it is only for a short time.
Sanju baba couldn’t stop smiling, even though he looked emaciated and frail. Currently serving a 42-month sentence for his involvement in the March 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case, Dutt submitted an application requesting parole in August. Hopefully baba gets some quality time to spend with his dearest wife Maanyata Dutt and his kids Iqra and Shahraan before he goes back to jail again. And he goes there healthier!
