Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s granddaughter, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s bundle of joy Aaradhya Bachchan turns a year older today. Two years back an excited daddy took to Twitter to share the good news, “It’s a girl!!!”
That’s not it this little princess is the apple of mommy Ash’s eyes, such is Aishwarya’s dedication to her baby girl that everything comes second and a filmi career just doesn’t hold any chance against time with her betiyaan. “Aaradhya means the world to me. She is the best gift of my life. Two years ago when I was expecting baby that time was extremely special,” Aishwarya who had special birthday his year thanks to her little daughter had told the media in an interview. Aaradhya has learnt the birthday song, for she sang it at both Dadaji‘s birthday this year and mommy Ash’s, so we’re sure that the little gal will take centre stage and sing the loudest on her big day too while the rest of the Bachchan household will watch their Beti B’s million dollar performance.
Not many know that Aaradhya was called ‘Strawbellies’ by her Dadi Jaya Bachchan before she got her now famous name. At Niharika Khan’s National award bash Jaya had told how she liked the name the media folks had given their little one – ‘Beti B’; however she preferred calling her ‘Strawbellies’, cute na?
If there’s a birthday bash this year, we’re sure that one guest who will definitely make it Jr Bachchan’s Dhoom:3 co-star, Aamir Khan. Apparently Aaradhya and Aamir hit it off really well while shooting for Dhoom. Abhishek had told in an interview, “When we were shooting for Dhoom 3, I remember Aaradhya had come on the sets and Aamir spent an entire evening with her. She is very fond of him. She liked him and is also pally with him.” Looks like Aaradhya already has the perfect fan following in Bollywood.
