Is Imran superstitious about working with experienced directors !

The actor, who has been having a rough patch off late, is superstitious about working with experienced directors. Read on to know more…

Imran Khan, whose upcoming movie Gori Tere Pyaar Mein with Kareena Kapoor Khan is generating a fair amount of buzz amongst the janta, thinks that he can only give hit movies with first time directors. “The funny thing in my life is that my only success is with the first time director. Anytime I have gone away from the first time directors, things have not worked for me,” he said in an interview.
The honey-eyed hunk started his career with Abbas Tyrewala’s directorial debutJaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, and mysteriously that has been his only successful film at the box office. So is Imran Khan’s belief derived out of logic? “Logically, if I think about Kidnap, the director (Sanjay Gadhvi) had given a blockbuster like Dhoom, but it didn’t work for me. My understanding is that I should work with guys of my age,” added the 30-year-old.
His last release which bombed at the box office was also with an experienced director- Milan Luthria for Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara. “Obviously it’s very disappointing because so many people had worked so hard on it and you want people to like it. But you have to understand that if you are in this business, this is a reality that more than hits you will have flops. It’s part of your business. If you cannot take it, get out of it because you are in a wrong place.”
Awww…we feel bad for our chocolate boy. Now we know that Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is not Punit Malhotra’s first venture. Nonetheless, we hope that it will be a superhit at the box office.
