The last film that was embroiled in legal trouble was Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon ki Rasleela Ram-Leela starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh and now Tigmanshu Dhulia’s film too is caught in a similar situation…
Saif Ali Khan – Sonakshi Sinha starrer Bullett Raja hit the theatres today and is garnering good response from critics and audience. However, a case has been filed against the movie. Our first reaction, another publicity gimmick? Dhulia confirmed this news, “A woman in Orissa has filed a case against the movie. She has a son called Raja Acharya, who is in one of the jails in the state for murdering his judo coach. She has alleged that the story of Bullett Raja, in which Saif plays the protagonist Raja Mishra, is based on her son’s life.” The director however states that his character was not inspired by any real person or incident,“Why would I go looking for gangster stories in Orissa, there are plenty in UP to take inspiration from!”
Nalini Acharya had filed a case in Bhubaneswar court earlier this month seeking a ban on Dhulia’s film. The complainant has also sought a compensation of Rs 7 crore for dis-reputing her family from the makers. The complainant apart from Fox Star Studios Pvt Ltd and Tigmanshu, has also included Saif Ali Khan as a defendant in this case. The matter is still subjudice in the court. We hope that the matter is cleared, after all, Saif would definitely not want another unpleasant experience
