After Asha Parekh another legendary Asha has expressed her disappointment with today’s songs

Asha Bhosle feels that the music industry has lost its soul.  The 80-year-old veteran singer said that till the 80s film music was good but slowly started waning because the lyricists such as Sahir Ludhianvi Sahab, Majrooh Sultanpuri, Shakeel Badayuni, and H.S. Bihari were no longer there.Bhosle who was in Dubai recently told the media that she is unhappy with todays music. Bhosle feels that “Today anything and everything sells because if one keeps eating rubbish, ultimately, they will get used to it, thinking that it’s good.” She also added, “If one keeps listening to cheap songs, they will start enjoying them and that’s how the public works, as they will take anything as long as it’s free.”
Bhosle even cited examples of songs that she thought were ‘cheap’ which included hit numbers from Salman Khan‘s Dabangg 2 featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahrukh Khan‘s Chennai Express song by Yo Yo Honey Singh Lungi dance – Fevicol,’ ‘chewing gum’ and ‘lungi.
