The Gadar: Ek Prem Katha actor’s love scenes with 19-year-old, Urvashi Rautela, were chopped off by the film’s presenter, Jayantilal Gada, a day after its release
It seems Sunny Deol has suddenly aged in the eyes of Pen India Pvt Ltd (co-producer of Singh Saab The Great) chairman-Jayantilal Gada. A lot of hullabaloo was raised about the love scenes, between the 50-plus-actor and 19-year-old Urvashi Rautela, when Sunny Deol had clarified that they are just actors and nothing had to be taken so seriously about it. The couple are playing husband-wife in Singh Saab The Great and the scenes were well justified. In spite of all the arguments and clarifications, the scenes were still considered a mismatch by the film presenter.
If we go back, all Khan’s and Kumar’s romance heroines half their age, then why this ruckus about Sunny Paaji? Shahrukh-Deepika, Shahrukh-Anushka, Aamir-Kartrina, Akshay-Katrina and many others were never considered a mismatch. The decision to chop off the scenes was taken after Gada had screened the movie minus the love scenes during a preview show. Anil Sharma, the director of the movie, had raised an alarm about the missing scenes and had made sure that the film released without any cuts on November 22. Nevertheless, Gada omitted the love scenes without informing the Apne maker from November 23.
Although the movie’s fate was better than the other release Gori Tere Pyar Mein, it didn’t leave a mark on the box-office. What we don’t understand is-why can’t Sunny paaji make love to a younger actor onscreen when the Khans and Kumar’s do that in every movie?
