Madhuri Dixit-Nene, who had stayed away from the silver screen for seven long years strikes back and is impressing everyone with her stellar performance as Begum Para in Dedh Ishqiya, which has hit the theatres today. And if Dedh Ishqiya wasn’t enough, the dhak dhak girl seems to give us one more in the form of Gulaab Gang that hits the theatres in March. Whoever said that heroines in Bollywood are restricted by age was clearly wrong because the trailer of Gulaab Gang is out and we must say that that Madhuri is roaring and…how. In this two and a half minute trailer, Madhuri is seen doing some hardcore action scenes and delivering some dhamaakedaar dialogues. On the other hand, there is Juhi Chawla, playing the role of a strong and mean politician and her character has shades of grey. It’s interesting to see Madhuri and Juhi together in a film as they both were once considered as rivals, who never even shared a hello with each other. Produced by Anubhav Sinha and directed by Soumik Sen, Gulaab Gang is inspired by a group of women social activists (Gulabi Gang) in Bundelkhand and is based on women empowerment.
