Aamir Khan’s P.K. will hit the theatres around Christmas this year. The film could have easily got the cash registers ringing courtesy if it was a solo release. But sadly the makers of Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma starrer Bombay Velvet are also eyeing a Christmas release.
And we all know when two big films release around the same time, only one of them takes away the bigger money pie. However, Aamir as well as RK are crowd pullers so their films should fare well at the ticket windows even if they release on the same day, hai na? But wethinks the Dhoom:3 baddie is feeling the heat. We say so coz the Satyamev Jayate host recently took a potshot at Madhu Matena who is one of makers of Bombay Velvet. At Kangana Ranaut’s birthday bash when AK bumped into Madhu and we hear he said to him, “Kya bhai, aaj kal toh tum bade star ban gaye ho. Aur hum to purane actor hokar rahe gaye.”
If you’re wondering what Aamir meant then let us remind you that Madhur Matena had produced AK’sGhajini and back then they shared a great rapport. Guess Kiran Rao’s hubby didn’t like the fact that his once upon a time friend is now taking him head on at the box office. In fact, not too long ago, theGhajini producer had expressed his displeasure over P.K.’s rele?ase date as earlier the film was to release on June 6. Maybe Aamir was taken aback by the filmmaker’s reaction. After all, nobody openly takes panga with a Khan, no? Or the versatile actor is just worried about his film’s fate coz Ranbir is an equally good actor and is known to deliver blockbusters. Is someone is scared of competition
