It didn’t come as a surprise to us when Salman Khan announced that he is doing Karan Johar’s ambitious project, Shhuddhi. While there isn’t any confirmation on as to who will romance the Dabangg Khan in the film, if our sources are to be believed, Deepika Padukone has been finalised to star opposite the Kick actor.
When Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who were originally cast for the film opted out of the project, KJo approached Dippy to be the new female lead. But she chose Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani opposite alleged boyfriend Ranveer Singh over Shhuddhi. However, now that the film has been pushed to Diwali 2016, the Chennai Express actor has told Karan that she will manage the dates for Bajirao Mastani and give him time. Plus, it’s a known fact that the leggy lass has been wanting to share screen space with Salman.
So there might not be any official announcement on the heroine of Shhuddhi, but we won’t be surprised if one fine day Karan tweets saying Deepika Padukone has been finalised to star opposite Salman Khan in Shhuddhi
