Whenever there is a battle between two films at box office, they tend to eat into each other’s profit. But that does not seems to be the case this Friday as Surveen Chawla-Jay Bhanushali starrer Hate Story 2 forges miles ahead of its competitor Pizza 3D in terms of box office collections.
Both films were well promoted and were pitted against each other on 18th of July. But despite mixed reviews, Hate Story 2 has managed to rake 5.46 crores on its first day while Akhshay Oberoi’s horror flick has earned only 75.03 lakhs. Film critic & trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed the numbers in his tweet,”#HateStory2 springs a HUGE surprise at the box-office. Fri ₹ 5.46 cr nett. India biz. Hate Story 2‘s success might surprise many as the film lacks known stars, but Pizza 3D‘s starless cast seems to be no match to oomph of the debut gal Surveen. It looks like audience are in for the erotic revenge story over the horror flick Pizza 3D.
