Nargis Fakhri caught everybody’s fancy when she first appeared in Imtiaz Ali’s Ranbir Kapoor starrer Rockstar and the babe is rocking B-town by now turning an item babe for Salman Khan. Her Dhating Naach with Shahid Kapoor went on to win her more fans, so one can imagine what will happen when she does a Devil act with Salman to as Yo Yo Honey Singh song.
We caught up with this beauty and in a candid conversation Nargis told us all about her latest item number, Salman Khan and her rapport with the film’s leading lady Jacqueline Fernandez. While her onscreen appearances have been hot she chose a simple nude dress and the babe gave some sizzling answers despite being under the weather. Excerpts from the conversation…
After Shahid Kapoor, you have shook a leg with Salman Khan. How would you rate them both as dancers?
Oh My Gosh! That’s a good question. I think both are great dancers. So I can’t really rate them. It’s just different energies. So that’ll be two good dancers with two different energies.
Do you think this item number will be a hit just like Dhatting Naach?
I absolutely love both the songs. I am assuming that it will be a hit just like Dhatting Naach. I don’t see why not. Especially there is Salman in it. So yeah.
It was reported that you were injured while shooting the song. Tell us more about it.
I have tear in my knee and a torn hamstring. So it was painful to dance. But you have got to do what you have got to do.
So how is your health now?
Well, I am recovering. Will take a bit of a time. I hope its fast.
Was there any interesting incident that took place while shooting the song?
We laughed a lot. I remember there was one moment when we had to turn our faces into each other. Actually he was facing the opposite way and I was facing him. We had to move closer for a dance move. But I moved too close and our noses touched each other, after which he got startled. And then he burst out laughing, but I felt really embarrassed (Laughs). It was a really funny moment. You had to be there. Sometimes you just can’t express in words the funny moments that happen.
You have danced with Salman, wouldn’t you want to romance him on-screen?
Hell yes. I would love to. With enthusiasm I say that. I would love to work with him in a film.
But say if you had a choice between Salman, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan – Who would be your first choice?
Of course it will be Salman! I have got a chance to work with him and he has awesome energy. When you are comfortable around someone, you are looking forward to work with that person.
Now he has also sung a song from the film. How would you rate Salman as a singer?
I was quite shocked at how good a singer he is. He has a really good voice.
You have a lot of completion in the industry. There is Alia Bhatt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Parineeti Chopra among others. Do you follow their work?
I think you are so involved with your work that you don’t have time to follow what others are doing. But say like now I will know what Alia is doing because Varun (Dhawan) is working with her and he is my good friend. So I think when you become friends, you start following a little bit. Otherwise there is Twitter through which you are updated on what’s going on. It’s not that you are making an effore to stalk somebody, when you see you see it.
Talking about films, what are the next projects that you are working on?
Well, now there is a search going on. I am meeting people and talking things.
So you haven’t signed another film yet?
No. It’s not legalized.
It was said that Salman had recommended you for an item number in Arbaaz Khan’s Dolly Ki Doli. But that is now being done by Malaika Arora Khan…
I wouldn’t know anything about it. I have no idea.
