Sonakshi Sinha announced her association with World Kabaddi League (WKL) on Wednesday, July 16, in an event. She has bought the United Singhs team along with Britain’s Hayre Group.
This is the first time Sonakshi has associated herself with a sport of this kind. “I am really excited to be part of World Kabaddi League. This is my first such endeavour. Kabaddi is a fast-paced sport and I’m looking forward to some adrenaline rush moments during the League,” the Lootera actor said in a statement.
Let us tell you, she is not the first celebrity to associate with the league. Superstar Akshay Kumar and India’s rap badshah Yo Yo Honey Singh have also bought the teams in this tournament.
Well, it’s indeed good to see these B-town stars associating themselves with a sport that needed to be popularized.
