It can now be revealed that Salman Khan will play a double role as twin brothers, Prem and Ratan, in Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
Both characters are supposedly based on Salman’s real-life dual-sided personality. Says an insider close to the project, “In real life, Salman is two very different people fused into one. There’s the innocent, child-like Salman who is like Prem. Then there is the other Salman with a wicked sense of humour and a quick temper.”
The source further adds, “Very few people see the soft side of Salman. Sooraj has seen that side of him, that part of ‘Being Human’. He is aware that Salman puts up a front as a defence mechanism, and so he wrote the script with Ratan representing the mask that the actor wears.”
