After the sweeping success of Priyanka Chopra’s Mary Kom, we are to see yet another inspirational story told via a film biopic. Sushant Singh Rajput, who has some fantastic projects in his kitty like Shekhar Kapur’s Paani and Dibakar Banerjee’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshi will also be seen playing the legendary Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
This would be Sushant’s first “in and as” production, titled MS Dhoni and will be directed by the A Wednesday fame Neeraj Pandey. The biopic has already faced its share of obstacles. First we heard that Dhoni charged a whopping amount to give his consent on the film. Next we heard that the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India)had objected to the biopic.
But all said and done, we finally have the first look of the film which looks quite interesting. Sushant will be seen wielding the bat as the Indian cricketing hero.
