In this year’s wedding season, we saw quite a few shaadis that were incredible in their own way. For the first time in Telangana, a gay couple tied the knot. In another incident, a newlywed couple in Odisha asked guests to donate their blood instead of giving gifts. At another wedding, the pandit ji asked the couple to kiss after the wedding rituals.
In another heartwarming incident, a woman from Turkey got married to a man from Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur in a traditional ceremony.
According to India Today, the groom, Madhu Sankeerth met the bride, Gijem in 2016 on a work project. They soon became friends and eventually, Madhu moved to Turkey for work purposes.
They two soon fell in love and decided to take their friendship to the next level. However, initially both their families were against the idea of the two getting married but later, they had a change of heart.
Madhu and Gijem got engaged in 2019 with their parents’ approval. And this year, they got married in Turkey first in March. Recently, they got married again in a traditional Telugu Hindu ceremony amidst their families. The bride is seen dressed in a gorgeous blue silk saree wearing traditional jewellery.
Here’s a video from the ceremony:
Beautiful, isn’t it?
