TV Actress faced Casting Couch : Casting couch is such a painful truth of the film and TV industry that the stars have been accepting it for years. Earlier, celebs did not talk openly on the casting couch, but as time went on, so did the direction of the industry. Now often celebs are seen talking openly about it and share their past.

Recently, Divyanka Tripathi has revealed that she has become a victim of casting couch. In an interview to Bollywood Bubble, the actress told that a man had become so madly in love with her that she threatened to ruin the actress's career.

By the way, Divyanka is not the first actress who has suffered the pain of casting couch.

Divyanka Tripathi :
In the interview, Divyanka said, 'I was very naive at the time, like a child. I didn't know that people talk like this. I only knew what was right and what was wrong. Then I got an offer from somewhere and was told that if you stay with this director then you will get a big break…but why me? On this he told me you are very intellectual etc…etc. This is before MeToo. These people will try to make you believe that as if everyone is doing all this in the industry, it is normal and if you refuse to do it, then you will be left behind and nothing can happen in your career.

Kishwer Merchant:
Talking to Times of India, Kishwer Merchant had told that he was asked to sleep with a hero. But this has happened only once. The actress had told that when she went to the meeting, her mother was also with her. She was asked to sleep with a hero but the actress lovingly refused to do so. I would not say that this happens a lot and it is a normal thing. The industry is infamous, but this thing happens in every industry.

Madalsa Sharma:
In an interview given to ETimes, Madalsa had told, 'In today's times, whether you are a boy or a girl, both are equally scared about the casting couch. If you are a girl then go into any profession be it films, anywhere in a corporate firm… you will find men around you. Many times you will also find some of these people who are interested in some such things which you do not like, in such a situation whether you are an actor or you work somewhere, the last choice will be yours. If I am faced with such a situation or where I feel uncomfortable, I prefer to skip any such meeting and walk out the door.

Sneha Jain:
Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2 fame actress Sneha Jain had told, 'The director of South called me and offered me a film which was about college going students. After that I sent him my profile and some photographs. The very next day I got a call and I was called to Hyderabad to meet the director-producer. I agreed to come but before that I asked him to send me the details of the film. I also informed them that I will come there with your mother. Then he told me that I would have to compromise with him, I was shocked to hear this. Not only this, he told me that when I reach Hyderabad, I will get hotel details only where I will have to meet the director and after the film is signed, he will give me half the money, not only that, I will have to spend the whole day with the director and whatever he wants. says he has to do it'.
