In the face of falling missiles and raining gunshots, Ukrainians have shown great valor by not fleeing and picking up arms to protect their land. And among those going through this distressing Russian-Ukraine conflict were close to 20,000 Indians who were trapped in Ukraine and pleaded to the Indian government to rescue them.

However, amid these testing times, an MBBS student from India’s Haryana has shown compassion towards her friends in Ukraine and has decided to stay back despite having an opportunity to return to India.
Taking to Facebook, Savita Jakhar, a close friend of this student’s mother, shared how she was touched by the selfless deed of this girl identified as Neha. Neha denied coming back home because she wanted to take care of the three kids whose father joined the troops to fight Russian invaders.
Elaborating on it, Jakhar wrote in Hindi that her very close friend’s 17-year-old daughter is trapped in Kyiv who went there for a bachelor’s degree.
Jakhar was touched by her gesture and questioned, “What is encouraging that child to stand with that family in such difficult times?”

According to Tribune India, Savita, also from Haryana, is now a French national presently based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
This is how people reacted to Neha’s noble gesture:
Neha reportedly lost her father, who was in the Indian Army, a couple of years ago. Probably this is where she gets her courage from. Such a brave girl.
