Amitabh Bachchan's film remakes a hit trend In Industory

The Big B’s films in the 70s and 80s were hit machines, but it looks like this trend continues with remakes too…
Keeping up with the recent success of remakes of Amitabh Bachchan films like Don – which saw Shahrukh Khan essay the role of a quintessential stylised goon and Agneepath – that turned out to be one of the biggest hits of Hrithik Roshan and Karan Johar’s careers – now two more Big B film remakes are in the pipeline.

We hear that Andha Kanoon and Akhree Rastaa will be remade by Pen India’s Jayantilal Gada, who has acquired the rights to these two films. Work on these projects is expected to start in early 2014. While there are many wanting to step into Big B’s shoes for these remakes, we wonder who will play Rajnikanth in Andha Kanoon and who could portray characters of Jayapradha and Sridevi in Akhree Rastaa. Any guesses?
