Nandana Sen, daughter of Nobel Laureate and Bharat Ratna economist Amartya Sen, tied the knot with Penguin Chairman and CEO John Makinson on June 22 in New York. Makinson, who is in his 50s, met Nandana in November 2012 and the duo soon started dating. In February this year, the couple finally decided to take the plunge. Confirming the news, Nandana said it was a small ceremony attended by family and close friends.
Before marrying John, the talented actress was in a relationship with Ghajini producer Madhu Mantena for nine long years. However, the two ended their relationship when Nandana shifted base to New York. But even today they share a cordial relationship. “I am very thrilled and happy for Nandana. Sadly, I could not attend her wedding because Lootera, which my company Phantom Productions is co-producing with Balaji Motion Pictures, is up for release,” said Madhu.
