The album of Yash Raj Films’ Shuddh Desi Romance starring Sushant Singh Rajput,Parineeti Chopra and debutant Vaani Kapoor is turning out to be quite impressive. The new song Shuddh desi romance certainly shows that the album is a mixed bag of fun, peppy and interesting numbers, along with some tuneful compositions. Written by Jaideep Sahni and sung by hot favourites Benny Dayal (Badtameez dil from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani) and Shalmali Kholgade (Pareshaan from Ishaqzaade), the title track has been composed by Sachin-Jigar.
Shot in the exotic Jodhpur palace and the bylanes of the vibrant royal city, the lovebirds Raghu (Sushant) and Gayatri (Parineeti) have great fun performing to this enjoyable song, expressing their desi love with laughter, naughtiness and lots of energy. It instantly reminds you of a certain wacky Govinda number – Jeth ki dopahari mein, from Coolie No 1. But this one’s a much better, more sophisticated sound.
