He was heartless and ruled Before Met Jodha Begum

Akbar developing is a soft corner for Jodha

Jodha-Akbar’s marriage was as an alliance of convenience between the Rajputs and Mughals. But Akbar (Rajat Tokas) couldn’t deny that Jodha’s (Paridhi Sharma) beauty made him more inclined to the union. Jodha was repulsed by the idea of marrying a fanatic Islamic oppressor; and entered the wedlock reluctantly. They fought, argued and often challenged each other.
Jodha was impressed by Akbar’s sense of justice, humility and kind heart; while the king was floored by his new wife’s intelligence, wit, courage and strong will. Mutually they respected each other, but never expressed it verbally. While everyone around them could see the emperor changing, Akbar never accepted it.
In the recent episodes, Akbar’s younger brother Mirza Hakim tries to enlighten Akbar. He tells him that you may conquer land and countries but you will never be at peace until you conquer the heart of the one you love. Akbar realises that in spite of having over hundred beautiful wives, his heart only lights up when Jodha is around. He thinks it’s a chemical reaction and not love, ‘coz he is heartless.
Looks like love is finally blooming and Akbar will soon accept that Jodha is the love of his life and we are eagerly waiting for Jodha to become conscious of it too. Ekta Kapoor has truly managed to take the simple love story to great heights and we love the way the love story is unfurling
