Priyanka Chopra’s Mom & Fans Defend Her ‘8-10 Minute Appearance’ In Matrix Resurrections

Our desi girl Priyanka Chopra appeared in the latest Matrix movie, The Matrix Resurrections, alongside Keanu Reeves and her fans couldn’t be more proud of her. Not only is she making a mark in Hollywood but working in one of the biggest movie franchises is a significant achievement in itself.

Even though her screentime wasn’t as long as one would expect, reviews on leading publications such as Wion described her as performing “a meaty chunky role and she does justice to it”, further adding that she has proved her “acting mettle” yet again.

“Priyanka Chopra also finds a credible mention as she plays Sati. While her screen time is less, she gets a meaty, chunky role and she does justice to it. She plays a crucial role in getting Neo and Trinity together as the actress proves her acting mettle yet again,” writes Wion News.

However, an Indian publication stressed on Priyanka’s “8-10 minute appearance” in the film and compared her to Deepika Padukone, who had comparatively more screentime in her latest release 83. Responding to the publication, PeeCee’s mother, Madhu Chopra, defended her and called her role “crucial and pivotal”, reports Hindustan Times.

Numerous fans of PeeCee took to Twitter to defend her screentime. Many highlighted how even within this short span of time, Priyanka gave an impactful performance and the fact that she is a part of a Matrix movie alone is a huge deal.
